What are the different types of notifications I can create?

You can create the following types of notifications:

  • Standard notificationsNotifications created with short text (350 Characters) or long text (any number of characters).
  • Urgent Notifications: This interrupts users in their ongoing tasks on the virtual assistant Non-Urgent Notifications: This doesn’t interrupt users in their ongoing tasks on the virtual assistant and delivers silently in their notification section
  • Poll Notifications: Notifications created in survey/poll taking formats Urgent Notifications: This interrupts users in their ongoing tasks on the virtual assistant
  • Non-Urgent Notifications: This doesn’t interrupt users in their ongoing tasks on the virtual assistant and delivers silently in their notification section

What are the various channels for which I can create a notification?

Notifications available on the following pre-integrated channels that users can use readily:

  • Leena AI Apps (Mobile, Desktop, Web)
  • MS Teams
  • Slack
  • WhatsApp
  • SMS
  • Telegram
  • Workplace

Please note that this facility is available on all channels where Leena AI Virtual Assistant is available for your organization.


How to duplicate an existing notification?

Notifications once created can be duplicated by clicking on the “duplicate” button. This opens the existing notification in the edit mode replicating the elements in the previous notification. You can choose to modify or send directly by scheduling the notification at the desired timeline.


What are the different capabilities of the notifications?

  • Users have the capability to create notifications using uploaded images, uploaded audio, or video files.
  • Notifications can be marked urgent by selecting the ‘Urgent’ option. These are the notifications you want your audience to see urgently without missing.
  • Notifications can be scheduled for a certain ‘date and time’.
  • Users can select an ‘expiry date’ for scheduled notifications.
  • Users can ‘preview notifications’ after they are created.

How to select audience for a notification?

  • Users have the ability to create audience groups if the notifications are not for ‘Everyone’ using the ‘Pick Audience’ and ‘Create audience’ options.
  • Admins can ‘Add individual users’ or can ‘Create custom groups’ based on predefined parameters.
  • Admins can also upload a list of users (who has access to the virtual assistant) and save them as custom audience
  • Users can view and edit audience groups already created.
  • The audience can also be created via uploading the list of users

How can I create a notification for Virtual Assistant?

  • Click on "Create Notification"
  • Select "Bot Notification"
  • Select Notification Type and Audience
  • Add in Subject (Title) and Body of the notification
  • Add media (image, document, audio, video, etc.), if needed
  • Choose to add Long Description, Bot Action, or External Link, if needed
  • Schedule the notification date and time (opt for "now" for instant notifications)
  • Review and Click on "Save and Create"

How to cancel a scheduled notification?

  • You can cancel a notification from the scheduled or running state to stop sending out the notification.
  • This can be done from the notification listing by clicking on the vertical ellipses (፧) on the scheduled or running notification and choosing to “cancel”.
  • Please note the following behavior will apply while cancelling a notification:
    • Cancelled for all users: When notification is in scheduled state
    • Cancelled for remaining users only: When notification is in running state

How to edit a scheduled notification?

  • Select the notification to preview the content
  • Click on “Edit” from the top-right corner
  • Make the require edits, review and reschedule the notification
  • “Save and Create”
  • Alternatively, you can choose the notification from the notification listing by clicking on the vertical ellipses (፧) on the scheduled and choosing to “edit”.

What does different statuses mean in a notification?

  • Scheduled: When the notification is scheduled for a future time
  • Running: Currently under execution/running state
  • Completed: The delivery operation for the notification is complete
  • Cancelled: Notification was stopped/cancelled before completion (can be cancelled from scheduled or running state via ‘cancel’ action)

Can I edit or recall a sent notification?

No, you cannot recall or edit a notification once it’s delivered to the user.
